In the near future (2014 or so) linux will take over. Windows users have dropped 6% and linux is up 10% from last year (note, more computer users are not even using windows and going directly to linux).

What? They have the internet on computers now?
I sold my virginity on ebay once, it was a bad idea. Some guy bought it.

my bad, i meant from windows to linux. And i do think it will happen, because it already is. Linux is free and works just as good as windows for most aspects, comes with a form of Microsoft Office for free, and will eventually have perfect game support due to winex. It will happen

Think of Windows being on one end, and Unix being on the other end. Linux would be right around the middle.
I can see Mandrake Linux really crapping up MS with servers, but that's about it. Really, Windows is improving faster than Linux. Gamers really don't go with Linux, and that what will keep Linux from taking over the world; more and more gamers are emerging by the weeks, with faster, higher-definition video accelerators coming out.
